My name is Maria Enns and I am a stay at home mom with a bachelor’s degree in arts education. I majored in Visual Art with a minor in Elementary Literature, but I have a special love for each of the arts. Visual Art and Dance are the arts I enjoy sharing most with my kids, but Music and Drama find their way into the mix as well.
I met my husband, Mr. Man, while I was finishing up my teaching degree. Ten years later, we are married with a 4-and-a-half-year-old girl, Yummy, a 22-month-old boy, Dooter, and a pretty home hidden away in the prairie hills. Born and raised city girl turned farm-wife, I’m using my time, talents and education to brighten up my family’s days.
Back in the Hills is about introducing children to the arts: visual art, dance, drama, music, and literature, and hopefully inspiring a lifelong love and appreciation. The arts are so important to me; they define a big part of who I am. I want to nurture the creativity in my children and give them the confidence and joy that the arts have given to me! I'm also a pretty serious DIYer and I love to create printable lists and quotes to share, so you will be seeing some
of those as well!
Spend some time and enjoy the ideas and projects I share.
